211.
I’ve really been thinking about getting a tattoo. I’ve gone back and forth for a long time, but I’ve finally settled on an idea that I think I will love for the rest of my life. Something small, subtle and meaningful.
I want something written, and I’ve been doing lots of browsing for great calligraphers online.Ā
Inspiration so far:
I think the written word is the most beautiful form of art.
I love all of these, but I’m thinking I’ll just have my mom write my chosen phrase (a secret for now… you want to be surprised, right?). She has the most beautiful handwriting.

Vanessa, that is so sweet including your mom in the process. AH! See why I come to your blog? I don’t know what she feels in regards to Tats. Such simple loving gesture. Funny thing is my son just last night mentioned he was thinking of getting a tat when (Legally able) and I shrieked NO! HA! He smiled. I like hearing the involvment of your mom ;that is special. I have been thinking of beginning a blog because I get great ideas here on your blog as a observer.:)

Well my mom isn’t super excited about the idea ā just like you, she’s never been thrilled with tattoos š But I think she’s warming up to the idea of me having something very small, subtle, and special. I’m glad you like the idea of involving her! Family is everything to me, so if I’m going to put something permanently on my body, I definitely want my family to be a part of its meaning.
Thanks so much for your sweet comments ā and you should definitely start a blog, it’s a lot of fun!
I had my brother draw my tattoo, 10 years ago before I was legal š It’s the Greek word for “dance” and even though I’m no longer a serious dancer, the fact that he drew it and that it comes from my heritage will keep it special forever. I can’t wait to see yours!
