189.
I’ve made a goal to start doing something brand new every weekend.
My list of things to do in San Francisco is seriously never-ending (and keeps growing), so I decided that I need to make a concerted effort to really start crossing a few things off my list.
What was on my plate for this weekend? A Sunday afternoon hike up to Twin Peaks!
Kelly and I started at Market and Castro and made the trek through the winding roads through the hills of Twin Peaks. I won’t lie … it was a little longer than I was expecting. But the view? So worth it.
After wandering up a winding pathway, we stopped for a picnic lunch (frog-in-a-hole, corn and zucchini salad, kombucha, and roasted pumpkin seeds) and then hiked over to the viewpoint to snap a million photos.
It was pretty incredible. You could literally see the entire city — downtown, the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge… everything.
I’d never been this close to Sutro Tower either — it was pretty wild. It’s absolutely massive! Look at the scale of it compared to the eucalyptus trees!
It feels pretty great to cross this off the list.
Love your adventure and all of your blog posts! Let me know if you need any recommendations for Marin day trips 🙂 xoxo
