Breakfast is by far my favorite meal of the day.
There are just so many options, you know? I always feel like you can get much more creative with breakfast foods then with lunch or dinner–there’s a little more freedom in terms of ingredients.
I went {simple} this morning though–I wanted to power up and have a good start to the day before a nice, long run to the Golden Gate Bridge and back.
Breakfast included:
Two pieces of French sourdough bread from the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market, toasted. One with nectarine conserve from Frog Hollow Farm, and one with homemade marionberry jam made by the boyfriend’s aunt.
Maple roasted bacon. Yup, you heard me right. And yes, it is amazing.
Pomegranate from the Farmer’s Market, mixed with a little feta, basil, and lemon juice.
Oh, and green tea of course. My favorite.
{A good Sunday breakfast (in my personal opinion) is the best possible way to wrap up a wonderful weekend}
